Apparently a lot of people on Yahoo R&S claiming to be Christians believe that insulting people inquiring about Christianty is a good representation of the teachings of Christ.

Where are all the Christians? I see mostly false teachers.

I am not against Christianity. It just seems that there are so many "Christians" attacking and insulting people inquiring about Christianity. Yes there are a lot of people who are attacking Christianity. Everybody attacks everybody here I get it, but why do so many Christians attack people for being curiosu about Christianity. I have a lot of good friends who are Chrisitans and these "Chrisitans" are giving Christianity a bad name.

I try to give logical, well thought-out answers to questions here. You're right about insulting other people who don't share our beliefs . . .that's counterproductive and only widens the gap between us.

I will admit that I have a sarcastic streak and don't suffer rudeness or obnoxious behavior gladly. But God is dealing with me on those issues, and I'm learning to keep my temper under control.

I certainly don't want to be a false teacher or a cause of shame to Christ.

I would not say there are more false teachers, but that there are more people who have been taught falsely. The majority of people on here have not studied enough to be called a teacher. I have noticed that a lot of "Christians" on here have some head knowledge, but do not seam to have a Heart knowledge and that is what Christianity is all about--a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I think you have to examine everything and compare what is said to the Bible.

With that being said:

Are you a Christian? How do you define your salvation?
See before you accuse Christians you need to testify that you believe in the shed blood of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

it is my experience that some tend to start out doing the good that they intend. but there is always somebody who feels obliged to discredit them. when good opposition comes along bent on tampering with a person's opinions, one can take their eye off their objectivity and their purpose gets lost in the fray.
unfortunately we are human. it is a given that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
Jesus said "let he that has not sinned cast the first stone."
there is an adage that i'll pass on to you. never look down on anyone unless you are helping them up.

so long and God bless.

The true ones are quick to hold their peace. Only God can judge somebody's spiritual condition. Sometimes an educated guess can be ventured.

Even Christians are imperfect and can tend to be defensive amongst all the non- believers who like to bash us. We are not supposed to do this, but sometimes emotions run high!

Anyone who tries to tell us anything other than Jesus is Lord and God is our Creator is a FALSE teacher.

We're here and we refute the false teachers when we find them...If it doesn't line up with the word of God, it's a false teaching.

Who made you the judge between the two?

Perhaps your teachings look false to them.
