Now you know why I carry pepper spray, collect edged weapons (very sharp ones), keep a loaded gun in the house and walk with a cane even though I'm not crippled. As an Asatruar, I keep waiting to be mistaken for a 'witch' and approached with kindling and torches.
My kind turn and fight. Wiccans should do the same, IMO.
Unfortunately, there are really people out there with that mindset. One lives up the street from me. I will admit that after a few police involvements we have come to a sort of agreement. He stays away from me and my home and I don't get to shoot him. The police thought of that one.

Yes there are people who's bigotry and dogmatism is stunning absurd, however it is better to be said here than bottled up into explosive anger. Here we can at least point out errors in the thinking.
It also disturbers me that some answerer's think it is enough just to insult. Lets be more constructive.

Loving a pet is a sin?
And the Westboro Nutcakes are in the right?
Wow. I knew there were some wacky Xian Fundies out there, but everyday I come to realize I've underestimated how crazy they can be.
If loving a pet is a sin, I guess I'm hellbound (Yay!). Mine are my family. They have their own spots on my bed and everything.

They probably have a bit of that mindset; however, I bet a big part of it is the attention they get. The guy who like Fred and crew is a level 1 and is probably just trying to get people worked up. The other person is probably trying to do the same thing. Neither one of them probably have lives.

Not scared really, just sad. These people take their bibles way too much to heart and interpret them in ways that make you wonder what the hell is in their water supply. The one was po'd over someone who treats her dog like a baby and calls it sin, the other ranted about who knows what... it's sad more than anything.

The persons who actually have these ideas are without a doubt not actually Christians.
They are leagalists. Not born again and do not have the Holy Spirit of God.
I judge them by their fruits.
Their fruits came out of their mouths.
Who you are comes out of your mouth.
Evil proceeds from within and comes out of your mouth and in your actions.

Remember Poe's Law: there is no satire of religion so ridiculous that someone can't mistake it for the real thing.
My guess is that those two posters are trolls.
