you have a nervous disorder. this is to say that you need to see a doctor about the compulsion to pick at yourself and then treat your skin right. if it is you that is the major aggravator, than fix the behavior first and then we'll work on the skin. skin doesn't want to be mashed. potatoes do! your skin needs love and you don't love you enough right now. let's work on that ok?

Put vaseline on the scabs you already have. Do this for a day or two, and use a wash cloth to gently remove the scabs. If the scabs still hurt, DO NOT try to remove them. Keep applying the Vaseline till the pain stops, then gentley scrub them away.
NOW! Don't pick at your face anymore. I know its hard, BUT DON'T you'll regret it.
To keep your skin clear follow this regimine.
MORNING:
-Wash face with cleanser (I use Proactiv)
-Then use a daily exfoliator (Aveeno Skin Brightner is great)
-Then after washing face (DON'T DRY) apply a toner
-After toner, apply a benzoyl peroxide lotion or oil-free moisturizer
-Invest in a jar of [[Dr.Feel Good by Benefit]]..it eliminates shine and gives skin a matte smooth touch (find it at Sephora stores)
AT NIGHT:
-Wash face with acne cleanser
-DRY PAT face with a towel.
-THEN with a cotton ball apply two or three coats of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR to the face and let dry before going to sleep
LEAVE CIDER on, and in the morning wash it off and follow the morning regimine.
Your skin should be clear in NO TIME :)
Good Luck

How old are you? I'm 30 and the only thing that really helped with my acne problem are the products from AVON. I used to pick at them too. I think they have products especially for men. If your not to embarrassed you could use the other ones. To place an order on line go to valheaviv3@sbcglobal.net. This girl is really good about finding what you need even if you don't live where she lives she'll find someone in your area or go to www.avon.com.

If you pop pimples so hard that you get scabs, you have to stop o.o. You'll get more pimples the more you pop them with dirty hands. The best solution is to stop popping them altogether. Just wash your face daily, and use cleansers. In time, you'll notice a clear up of most of your acne. Pimples are just a side effect of puberty! Everyone gets them.

STOP touching them, and get the Acne Free system (available at most drugs stores and grocery stores. It's cheaper than Proactiv, and really does work better.). Spot treat with dabs of lemon juice if the spots seep. Make sure, if you wear makeup, that it says 'non-comedegenic' on the label.
When they're gone, spot treat with a scar cream, so you don't have pock-marks.

im 16 nd i had bad acne since i was 12 and it recently cleared up..my secret was cleansing my skin with aveeno bar called clear complexion then i used scar ointment that makes ur skin heal whether its by drying up pimples or healing scars or as you call them scabs..bonus..it also works as a moisturizer because the ointment is kinda oily...the ointment i used was called polysporin..for me, this ritual started working the next day..and gradually my skin kept getting better and better! hope this helps! good luck! =D p.s try to avoid touching ur face unless ur cleaning it..u dont want to get infections on ur skin..and wash ur face twice a day, in the morning and before u go to bed BUT only apply the ointment before you go to bed NOT in the morning unless u want ur face to look greasy..

Go to a dermatologist. They can get you on an antibiotic or other RX. Do not pop them. And whatever you do, do NOT take Accutane. The doctor will try to push that off on you, but do NOT take it. Too many side effects that last a lifetime. (took it 15 years ago) I also use Proactiv. Great stuff.

neutrogena acne clearing scrub. don't waste your money on proactive. It doesn't work on MOST people. I've tried it and heard tons of other testimonials from people who swear it's a scam.
Also, Oil of Olay makes a blemish control daily lotion which is awesome. it's about 17 dollars but well worth it when you use the two products together.

Don't "mash" at them. Then use proactive. I hear it's really good. But it doesn't work on some people. Try going to a dermatologist. They'll probably give you prescription pills or cream.
