I drink wine at holidays if it's offered but I don't go out of my way to but or drink it. I don't drink hard liquor at all - I don't see any point to it other than drunkenness. But I do like the taste of beer. I like all types of beer and I am always willing to try one I've never had. I drink beer because I like it - no other reason. However, I always cut myself off at 2 if driving. If I'm not driving my max is 4 - I don't like being drunk or out of control. It's just not fun to me.

We Sasquatch have a gene which allows us to go without sleep for weeks at a time. Staying awake that long can cause depression in some of us, like myself.

Consuming cheap booze and the like allows us to sleep - even if it is not a "restful" sleep.

Yeah, I know alcohol is a depressant, but it beats staying awake for weeks on end!

This, and it's not easy to quit the stuff once you start! Don't start!

I feel that a lot of good friends drinking together puts a good mood into the air. Everyone is feeling good and loose and everyone is getting the same vibe. Drinking alone is lame, and drinking just to get "wasted" and "drunk" is also lame. But I feel that big party and a big group of people all feeling great is a great thing. Just dont throw up on my stuff :)

I drink to have more fun and be more sociable. Things are just more exciting when I drink with some friends. But I wouldn't drink alone, that would be no fun.

As a diabetic the only alcohol I still imbibe is wine at communion. I drink to my salvation.

It may not be the best reason... but it relaxes me and makes me more social. Its a nice ending to a long work week. Its just an escape from everyday blah...

I began to get over a girl.
I continued to live the lifestyle.
I tried to stop to change who I was.
I picked it up to go back and be happy.
Now I drink because I can and I want to.

"Reason you use"? Because I like it and I can do it responsibly. I don't need any other reason. And with that lovely thought, I am going to go support my favorite little watering hole with good ole fashioned economic votes.
