Well, since I'm Wiccan myself, I have a pretty good opinion of it. You will run into a lot of "Wicca is TEH EVIL!11!1!!" responses, usually from people who haven't the first idea about what it is we actually do. Don't let them get you down too much.

Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions. I don't have all the answers, but I'll do my best.

Wicca is like a natural buffet restaurant. Just like their is not one type of Christianity, there is also not one type of Wicca. This is also a open seat buffet. Walk around for a little while, and see what appeals to you. No one will come and try to influence/ coerce/ manipulate/t hreaten/ or judge you while you wait. But pretty much about everyone will bend over backwards o offer advise and share their experiences, if asked.

Like a buffet, you can take a little from here and a little from there. Take what suit you and makes you comfortable, and fulfill your. No one will tell you you are only allowed to eat this and never that, for the rest of you life. You can switch what you want, whenever you want.

Even if your plate does not look like others, we are all kindred spirits. She are all travel on this journey together, and are somehow connect together, whichever way you leave. If you leave and come back, there will always be a seat open for you.

Good thing about this religion, is that you get back to basics. We get a closer to understanding nature that sometimes society and technology takes away from. We can return to the old ways and the "Old Ones" is you so wish.

You are also encourage to be the best person you can be to yourself and those around you. You are free to do what you want as long it doesn't harm anyone, or anything.

I personally enjoy the freedom that Wicca gives to me to fallow my own path. This freedom to do/believe/live how i want. The return to natural times helps me be a stronger, healthier, and happier person inside and and out.

Wiccan is not a bad religion. I was a wican, but now I am a Unitarian Universilest.
What makes it bad, you Jesus-losers? Just because it is not Christian? All Wiccans do is practice little charms and such, play with herbs, pray to different gods, etc.
It is actually quite interesting!
I do not reccomend becoming involved with any dark arts, though. Thats a bad thing.
But don't let those Jesus-freaks get you down. Being Wiccan is fun and informative! You get a lot closer to nature.

Well you get the gist of common opinion. A lot of Wiccans feel they have to hide their beliefs as they are discriminated against. I have been fired from a job for being openly Pagan\Wiccan. But I have developed a pretty thick hide over the years and don't get pushed around anymore. Not everyone can do that. You just have to be judicious on how open you are in what circumstances. Lots of hatred out there .

Notice how people try to make sure you stay Christian, or try to convert you? Wicca is one of the oldes religions on the face of this planet, next to Satanism. NEITHER OF THEM ARE EVIL!!!! Satanism (in all of it's forms, from LaVeyan to Spiritual/Traditional) is about reaching godhead and having godlike power. Wicca, as far as I know (which is not much, I'm not Wiccan, I'm Spiritual Satanist) is belief in the duality of nature and the universe. Both of these religions pre-date Christianity, and both give one control over the mind that others (especially Christians) consider "supernatural" (such as telekenisis, pyrokenesis, astral projection, ect. ect.) The reason for these so called "powers of the mind" are because we are trained to use more than just the puny 10% of our brain that we are born using. By using more of the mind, this is how "witches" achieve their power. To those of you who think this is against Jehovah, I'll say again, THESE RELIGIONS PRE-DATE CHRISTIANITY!!!! And by a couple thousand years, I might add. So as far as I'm concerned, go for it, and I wish you luck on your journey to enlightenment and empowerment!!!

SEMPER FIDELIS SHAITAN!!!
AVE SATANAS!!!

I'm a relaxed witch. I could probably help.

My views are a tad different. I in particular, believe in Mother Earth as a Gaia-type goddess, but not from Greek mythology. I practice magick every once in a while, but meditate and pray very often. Err...I don't really know what else to say, but if you have any more questions then ASK.

Its a great spiritual religion. You have to be responsible when it comes to how you use it, or follow it, and remember the rules to it correctly like the three fold rule. I have never used any of the spells because if you say them wrong, or dont follow the rules exactly they can backfire bigtime. I love the religion though. It makes more sense to me then most other religions. You have to study it very closely, learn as much as possible about it all to really understand it, and that its not bad if you use it correctly. I dont care what anyone says if they truly understand the religion there is no way they could possibly think it was evil, its all on how you use it.

To be honest, I haven't had a lot of contact with wiccans. I know that it is a rather complex amalgam of several "nature-worshippings", plus some other stuff. As a Christian, I would assert that Wicca is somewhat missing the point, choosing to idolize the created instead of communing with the Creator. I would invite you to keep your mind open for deeper answers and higher responsibilities. God bless!
