This question is for the Christian, to see how well educated they are in other religions other than their own narrow viewed religion as well as to see if they know the differences between the three.

Wiccans do not believe in the existence of Satan or Hell. They believe these are Christian concept for fear and intimidation. For the most part Wiccans do not follow and particular doctrine or religious order. There is no central organization to this practice. Everyone who is iniated is consider a priest or priestess and must begin training in the finer arts of this magical based faith. They are currently celebrating the Spring Equinox giving worship to their goddess of fertilty.

Satanism believes in the existance of Satan, but denies the existance of the God in the Bible. Satanism even has their own Bible which scoffs at the laws of restrictions on mankind to enjoy the finer things in life. They believe man was created with Satan given desires and should live life to the fullest. Unlike Devil worship which does not have a religious order they do not practice human or animal sacrifice.

Devil worship seems to be the older of the 3, and the largest and most unorganized. It is believed that animal and human sacrifice is practiced here. In this religion there are various Devils for almost every occasion. Satan being the chief of course. Devil worship almost merges with other forms of witchcfaft that practice the black arts. There are various segment in every culture with different beliefs and practices. Of like Satanism they scoff at God and Christianity, praying for the ascension of Lucifer to his throne. Satanist do not want to be asociated with this group.

I'm not exactly Christian, but I'll answer. Wicca is a nature based pagan religion involving white magic, Satanism is a Pagan/Atheistic religion based on a rebellion against Christianity. Devil Worship is a religion, mostly made up by Christians, in which followers worship the Christian devil.

Christians are mostly brainwashed from birth, spoon fed on scripture and really wouldn't have a bloody clue about Paganism, or simply being a Wiccan, as I am..I know more about their religion than they do (mostly).. They know nothing of my beliefs and very easily dismiss it the easy way, by referring it to Satanism.... I will tell you again for the 40,000th time, we do not worship Satan, nor do we believe in him.. I find it hard to worship someone I don't believe in... I worship the Earth and the Universe... My Way, as I am not a mainstream Wiccan.... Sorry I answered this I am not Christian, but I want these people to know, we are the Old Souls of this Planet...And it harm none, do what ye will.. Blessed Be.. )O(

I personally know about all three. I know that Wiccans have a high regard for nature and that most believe in a dual (both male and female) deity. I know that they regard their spells as prayer, and true Wiccans adhere to a strict code of harming no one.

Satanists are atheists on an ego-trip. They basically take the idea of living without consequences and form a religion around it. The Church of Satan was founding in the 1960's, by Anton LaVey, who authored "The Satanic Bible".

Devil worshippers aren't around that much anymore, but there are some people who worship the Devil as a living entity and either relate to him as Lucifer, Satan or both. They don't believe that they are evil, as good and evil don't exist in ultimates. They don't worship Satan in the same reverent way that we Christians worship our God, but regard him more as a friend AND master.

I am not aware of any reliable historical evidence of devil worship cults in the 16th Century. There were (probably unfounded) allegations of devil worship made against dualist Christian heretics in the medieval period (Orleans in 1022 and Soissons in 1115) and of course the similar allegations against the Knights Templar which led to their downfall. The source of all these allegations was the Church itself - hardly objective evidence. You do need to be clear that Satanism is a Christian heresy: it has nothing whatsoever to do with Witchcraft and Paganism, and never has had. That was always a lie put about by the Church and the Inquisition to justify the witch hunts. There are several books on the history of Witchcraft: a particularly good one is "Witchcraft out of the shadows" by Leo Ruickbie. That deals with the history of Pagan Witchcraft, not devil worship. Information about medieval Witchcraft rituals is unsupported by reliable, objective evidence.

Wicca, Pagenism that may or may not involve witchcraft. Celebrates usually a god and a goddess, nature.

Satanism, hedonism -celebrates that which brings pleasure.

Both are highly individualised.

Still learning, anything you want to share would be appriciated. The more I learn about other religions the more I understand what people dislike about Christianity as a religion and for good reason.

Before i became a Christian, I worked with a Wiccan who answered my questions and tried to teach me how to meditate. I don't know much about Satanism, but I'm told the book "Necronomicon" has something to do with it. (or maybe that was devil worship?) I read that book as a teen, but don't remember much about it. I do know this to be fact, though- I believe the bible is the "real deal" and so all other religions are false to me. The bible says that you cannot slave for two masters. It was talking about God and money, but it also applies to God and false God. Jesus also said that many will come to him professing to be his followers, but he will tell them basically to scram- "I never knew you!" This means that some who believe they're true Christians are in for a rude awakening. Thus, those who openly are NOT Christian are in for a similar result!

Most probably know nothing. They believe what others and the bible tells them to. They are told who to hate and they believe it.

I have no religion, but I always loved the phrase, "God gave man the truth and the Devil helped him turn it into a religion."
