Do ppl segragate themselves when given the chance i.e. church, lunch, social affairs?

actually, i prefer to be around people who focus on the inner beauty of a person and not what they look like on the outside...

i find the most intense worship is in congregations of cultures different than my own

I think they do. It's a comfort thing.

When I was in high school - if there was not assigned seating - all of the black kids would sit together - and the whites as well. Nobody told us where to sit - it was a choice.

At my church - the older women have a special place where they sit in the social hall after service. They are always happy if anybody else comes to join them -and yet - they all hang together.

My child is in 7th grade - and she is already finding where she fits in - and the kids get into groups and segregate themselves based on clothing style - classes their in together etc.

Again - I think it's a comfort thing.

It is quite natural to seek people with like feelings, attitudes etc. We all want acceptance and where better to find it then with someone that has like attitudes and likes and dislikes.Call it segregation or birds of a feather. I don't know too many people who seek out others that dislike them or have nothing in common.

I don't, but I was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by a variety of people who may have looked and sounded different, but I learned that we were all the same.

I live in Ca.Its like the League of Nations every where you go.I love it.But I have seen clique's way to often in Church.<><
