After death people do not go to Heaven or Hell? that requires judgement - -and you can't be judged until the resurrection. And the Resurrection won't occure until Christ returns again - -which has not yet happened.
therefore all those who have died are in The Spirit World - Spirit world is divided into two sections, Paradise & Prison. - remember Christ said to the thief on the cross; today thou shalt be with me in paradise. - he was not talking about Heaven.
People in the spiritworld are just waiting for the resurrection - waiting for judgement.
