Christianity and Wicca don't play well together, for reasons well outlined in the following article:

http://wicca.timerift.net/christianwicca.shtml

There is no concept of "original sin" in Wicca, which sort of negates the entire reason for Jesus' existence. A Wiccan might consider Jesus to be a wise man whose teachings have merit, but the Savior of mankind? No.

Witchcraft, however, is a technique in the same way that prayer is a technique, and is practiced in many different religious traditions, including Christianity and Judaism:

I am a proud Wiccan and have been practicing for 8 years now. According to the Bible yes Wicca is against god. This is because as you have seen here it is called witchcraft and most people associate it with the devil. I can not speak for all Wiccans but those that I know and we do not believe in the devil. There are some out there who profess to follow the Wiccan path and claim to worship the devil but they are not true Wiccans. There is a lot more to Wicca than most know. Feel free to e-mail me or IM me and I can answer any other question you may have. Many Blessings to you and yours.

Wicca isn't a Christian religion. It's a preChristian reconstructionist Pagan religion. If you don't believe in the God and Goddess, you really aren't Wiccan. You'd be a Christian Witch.

How do you fit into Wicca? Wicca is much more than witchcraft, its a Pagan religion based on the belief that the Gods are Nature and the Universe and are based on the polarity of Male/Female.

There are Christian Wiccans but they're....pointless. One way or the other they need to commit otherwise, they're just posers. You're either Christian or you're Wiccan. Not both. As an atheist, Wicca is one of the few religions I respect as they worship the feminine EQUALLY with the masculine. They recognize a deity and that it manifests itself in the masculine and feminine. Each wiccan individual will often represent the feminine and/or masculine aspects with an ancient god with characteristics they wish to emulate. It doesn't mean that they worship a bunch of different gods. They worship the different aspect/sides of their deity. When worshipping the divine feminine, they will call on her in her many manifestations: Isis, Diana, Hecate, Shiva etc. or the masculine: Osirus, Cernunnos, Gwn ap Nudd, etc.

But to answer your question directly, NO, they do not believe that Jesus Christ is the savior.

I'm a polytheist who worships Celtic deities. I believe in reincarnation and I believe in the stories about my deities. I've never believed in anything like the concepts of the Christian heaven or hell. This is how I was raised and it is the only view that makes any sense to me. Do you think it would be possible for me to also be "into" Christianity? (Personally, I feel that saying that I am "into" a religion implies that it is more of an occasional hobby than a way of life). I like the Christian "Golden Rule". Is that enough for me to claim to be "into" Christianity? Or should I worship that religion's deity and embrace most of their theology before claiming to be into that religion? I think it is the same with Wicca.

There is nothing wrong with agreeing with some of a religion's tenets (in fact, it's only natural), but that doesn't mean that you are into that religion. If agreeing with some of a religion's tenets was all I needed, I'd be into almost every religion in the world.

Like any religion should be: believe what you want. Wiccans believe in a Lady and a Lord, no? Who is that Lord but God? If you want to look at it that way...Oh, and for the record, I do believe in Jesus. Since he's not part of my religion really, I simply respect him and leave it at that.

No, Wiccans in general do not believe in Jesus. We believe in the Goddess and God, who are a part of nature.

There are some Christian Wiccans, but I personally don't see how they can be compatible with each other.

To most Wiccans, Jesus is no saviour, because he does not exist.

If he exists to you, then that is fine, but most Wiccans don't believe that.

Well, if you go by what the Bible and most Christians say, then yes, you are going against the Christian God.

It's not necessarily true that Wiccans don't believe in Jesus. In fact, some believe that Jesus did exists and died for humanities salvation. However, they're also aware of the fact that there were Pagan demi-gods (Such as Odin, Mithra and Ra) who did what Jesus did, before Jesus did it.

They don't. Wiccans worship a diety that has male and female aspects, sometimes simply referred to as the God and Goddess, and sometimes by a specific name. They believe that the God and Goddess created all things in nature, and is apart of nature, like the wind, and the trees, the sun and moon.

The only god it offends is the Biblical god.

Wicca is not against God. Just because we don't believe in a single word that the bible says or worship jesus, we are not evil!
