When you're talking about ortographic (written) accent, they all keep the same accent mark.
However, if you're talking about spoken accents, they change a lot!!! Even inside Mexico, there are lots of different accents to one word; this variety widens if you consider other countries as well.

Claro, por ejemplo:
cante - canté
doble - doblé
ame - amé
tiro - tiró
papa - papá
ovalo - ovaló
Y tambien existen dos palabras con el mismo sonido pero diferente significado como:
Papa (pontifice) - papa (tuberculo)
tiro (disparo) - tiro (verbo)
doble (dos veces) - doble (verbo)
cómo (te llamas) - como (verbo), etc.
