Just wanted to know if anyone has seen or heard of this phenomon. ... We have noticed that when some of my family members passed away, Right before they died, they looked to the cieling, and their eyes turned blue before they were shut for the last time.
We like to believe they see the angels coming for them, but can there be a scientific explanaton for this?

I have never heard of this but I am very intrigued with your question... I read way back in the late 70's, that an experiment was conducted in a Hospice.. These were all people about to die, just a matter days, hours.. The beds were all wired up to measure any weight loss.. Guess what, every-time a patient died, at the exact point of death they lost weight... It was so minuscule, but it was recorded at every death..The researchers gave one possible explanation, as this was the Soul leaving the body... I thought I would add that as your question instantly reminded me of it.. There are changes that take place at the point of death.. Most people regardless of their beliefs, believe the body has a Soul.. Most cultures believe in an afterlife..It is also possible for your eyes to change colour whilst you are alive..Usually with children I believe, but it does happen... Love and Light.. )O(

I have never heard of this before! It might be spiritual, but there's a good chance there's a medical reason for it.
After all, many babies, of all ethnicities, have blue eyes when they are born, and their eyes may change to a darker color, usually brown, once melanin production, triggered by light, starts in the eye.

I'm sure there is a medical reason for it, relating to blood flow or something, but what an interesting thing! I'll check back on this question, I'm curious to know myself.
But one thing, you didn't say what color their eyes were before they died, I just assumed brown.

Yes, you are so right, I have witnessed this many times...They see their loved ones waiting for them...and they have come to greet them. I don't know about the eyes turning blue, but I wouldn't be at all suprised if they did....

We will only know this when we are passing ourselves. Angels and belove family watches over me now and protect us from harm if we spread love and peace around, only good can come from these acts. Peace and Love to you!

Whatever their eye color was while they were alive.
Could be red from trauma , but i don't think their eyes would be blue. I could be wrong, cause i never heard of this.

There doesn't have to be a scientific explaination for a hopeful dream of a Christian. Keep searching for the truth...you'll find it one day.
