Often when I see a Muslim arguing for the existence of his god, it's based on the failed Argument from Design. Are there any more interesting and sophisticated arguments in Islam?

C'mon, the Abrahamic faiths think that the Argument from Design is foolproof, you know that.

And what is your argument for the non existence of God? It is based on the failed argument of evolution?
Why is your question directed only to Muslims? Why not Jews, catholics etc?
I personally feel zero need to argue the existence of God. For me he exists if not for you then, you prove that why dont you? There are many proofs in the quran of things which technology and science did not discover till modern times. Example about something as simple as honey. The quran teaches us it is more than sustenance but a healing substance. And low and behold science recently discovered that honey has no oxygen in it and there for is the best thing to put on a wound, it acts as a perfect barrier to stopping infection getting in. Another the Quran teaches us that all life started from water. Does science not now know that to be true? Did they know that science in the time of the revelation of the Quran? No they did not. Just two small examples of Gods Proof. But hey you are free to believe or not believe whatever you like as am I!

Yes. We see evolution as proof of Intelligent design, and conjecture that incomplete fossil records are misleading and further proof of Intelligent design.

We believe that Life, being designed, is capable of rapid adjustment to a near extinction event. That the species affected spontaneously gives birth to a new mutation and then simply dies out leaving in it's place the adapted species. This would explain why there is an incomplete fossil record, being a rapid event as opposed to the falsity of eons of incremental change, and also explains the perpetuation of the new species being many were begotten making it replicable and sustainable.
