You don't own your body. Can you stop it from aging? Can you stop your hair from turning white or falling out? Can you remove a scar or close a wound.
Your body is just a vessel. Without it you would not be here. Like everything else, though, it is impermanent. It is subject to decay, sickness and eventual passing away. So long as you it, you have a responsibiliity to look after it, to feed and nourish it. Do not be attached to it.
Remember though, not only do you have a body, you also have a mind. In fact, only 25% of you is your physical form. The other 85% is your mind which comprises feeling, perception, volition and consciousness.
You should spend more time on nurturing and developing your mind than you do on your body. It is of much greater importance.

I'm not even sure that my body is mine anymore. But I would say protect it... I am an organ donor so if I take care of it maybe they can use some part of me after I'm gone.

The treating of a person as property is a vice, that includes treating oneself as property. Neither you nor I "own" our bodies. They are not property.

Sometimes you don't even own that.
To the extent we can, we should protect ourselves, others, and anything else we value in life.
