So everyone should date someone who was born at the exact second he/she was born?

It's not stupid at all! Now, there is such a thing as taking advantage of someone (like that creepy teacher having sex with her student).
In all reality, it's a cultural norm for people to love and marry people their own age (5 year difference is normal). If you're really worried about what people think I'd say, "When in Rome do as the Romans do."
However, if you truly love this person who has a significant age difference and if you do not care what others think, what's stopping you? Go for it and live a happy life together!

to me age only plays in as a factor if the younger person is really young. When I was 18 I developed feelings for a guy at work who looked about 22, turns out he was 27 and though i was 24ish. We didn't find out about our actual ages until we started to actually develop feelings. Now many would think 18 was young, and in many ways it is, But i was already living on my own for a year and the guys my age weren't able to relate. So maturity and experience should be taken into account. As a last comment, age can make relationships complicated especially when expectations are different.

What exactly are you asking??? Is "this guy" older or younger than you? If he's a lot older, then he is being wise to leave you alone as the laws regarding sexual behavior, no matter how minor, are quite severe. If you are a consenting ADULT, which I don't think you are, you would understand this.
If neither one of you is of age, then just chalk it up to "life's lessons." Don't let it bug you. Learn from it.
Then go on with YOUR life!

Depends on the age of the people involved. I don't know where you're at, but you should check on the statutory rape laws in your area. Someone being really interested in someone a lot younger is not really dumb to me, but creepy. A lot of guys who do that are.... well.... just not good guys.

I don't think it's stupid at all. If you like a person then it shouldn't matter. My g-ma is 10 years older then my g-pa and they are as happy as can be. nothing could break them apart.
