Will the radio/cd player salvaged from a 01-02 Kia Sportage fit into a 2000 Kia Sportage?

My radio in my 2000 Kia Sportage is defective and I was wondering if I could purchase a 2001-2002 Kia Sportage radio to replace it with.

A 2001 radio should be identical to a 2000; I'm not sure about the 2002. In 2002 some Kia models started using a different plug for the radio. At worst, you may need to purchase a pair of adapting harnesses to make the plugs match up; if you can adapt the plugs, the radios will be interchangeable.
