In my area it is greenville-pickens.It has been around almost since the start of nascar.David Pearson,Ralph Earnhardt,Butch Lindley, andRobert Pressly are just a few of the past champions. In the mid to late 70's Buddy Howard and Johnny Allen(a nascar race winner) put on some of the best shows you would ever want to see.I fell in love with stock car racing then .They race on saturday nights, and the track is sometimes used as a test track for Martinsville.Give it a try if you are ever in the area.

MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY.....ACTULLY THIS TRACK IS IN RIDGEWAY VIRGINIA
I LIVE 3 MILES FROM THE TRACK! THIS TRACK IS THE OLDEST AND SMALLEST IN NASCAR!
IT IS AT THE FOOTHILLS OF THE BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS AND IT'S A TRACK THAT TIME FORGOT!!
WE STILL HAVE THE TRAIN THAT COME THROUGH AT TIMES DURING THE RACE!!
THEY STILL SELL THE FAMOUS JESSE JONES HOT DOGS THAT WE USE TO BUY BUT YOU CAN'T FIND THEM IN THE STORES TODAY
BUT BEING 56 I STILL REMEMBER BUYING THEM,
LOTS OF HISTORY HERE!
WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF LOTS OF NASCAR TRACKS A COUPLE OF HRS AWAY FROM ALANTA, BRISTOL, RICHMOND.
AND I STILL REMEMBER GOING TO ROCKINGHAM
BUT THAT HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN A COUPLE OF YEARS!!
I HAVEN'T MISSED A RACE AT MARTINSVILLE IN YEARS
THE HISTORY OF THIS PLACE IS JUST AMAZING
THEY CALL THIS TRACK THE PAPER CLIP OF NASCAR!!
I REMEMBER THE OLD DRIVERS WHEN I WAS JUST A KID, JOHNSON.PETTY PEARSON TO NAME A FEW
I LOVE TO HEAR PEOPLE SAY NASCAR ISN'T A SPORT !! I LAUGH EVERY TIME I HEAR IT ....FOR ME IT IS A WAY OF LIFE....I LOVE THIS QUESTION....I COULD GO ON AND ON
110% NASCAR FAN
IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE ....COME ON DOWN....PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY WHAT EVER YOUR DRIVER IS
GOOD OLD HOME TOWN LIVING

I live in Indianapolis, so obviously Indianapolis Motor Speedway is hallowed ground and I get chills every time I set foot inside the place. But I think it's more fun to watch a race at Indianapolis Raceway Park because you can see the whole track. It's tough to beat a short track for good racing. Even better than that would be Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH. Seeing the World of Outlaws run out there is absolutely awesome!

Nice and impressive list from Greenville-Pickens.Here in the Birmingham area we have BIR(Birningham International Raceway) with a pretty good list too.We were home to such drivers as ;
Red Farmer(NASCAR sportsman and Modified champ)
Bobby and Donnie Allison,Davey and Clifford Allison(RIP)
Neil Bonnett(RIP) David Bonnett,Mike Harmon,Jimmy Means, even Darrell Waltrip was a regular on Friday nights.Gary Bradberry and his brother Charlie(RIP)
The raceway is still active but with the touring series available a lot of the younger drivers go into them, plus Talladega short track is pulling more of the drivers to dirt.
Birmingham use to host cup races in the 60's but when Talladega was built the cup events were moved.

i live about 1 1/2 hours from Ky speedway and 2 hours from indy.
i have been to both tracks and prefer kentucky to indy.

i dont know about indy, but Ky has all kinds of series racing there.
arca, busch, trucks, indy cars.have not seen the arca series yet,but have been to the other 3.also there is a casino not to far from the track, maybe 30 min away.
the only drawback at ky speedway is that u can not take alcoholic beverages into the track, but they do sell 24oz can beer for $7.
the tailgating is great at both tracks, and there is plenty of room at ky speedway to really have a good time.
pit passes are easy to come by at ky also, and one more thing.....i have a friend that works security there so i get to go in the garages also.i have gotten to meet alot of drivers and be within spitting distance of the cars, haulers, crews, and owners.

both yet there is probable a touch more advantageous emphasis on the on the right song skills and how Jimmie manages races. he's not in simple terms an outstanding driving force yet an outstanding tactician besides. He oftentimes does in simple terms sufficient to furnish himself a probability to contend for the win contained in the vast majority of races he's in. which could mean sandbagging a touch and saving your automobile for the end or operating authentic not basic, in simple terms before the wrecks all day. for sure he has a lot of more advantageous self assurance with Chad on correct of his pitbox. he's a laid back California toddler at heart and far more advantageous relaxing in authentic life than the corporate robotic that he appears to be like at situations. 3 STR8 N 08!!!

The closest track to me would be Vegas and that is at least an 18 hour drive. I don't live in an area that has any tracks close by.
