Yes it is. Love is a wonderful thing to experience.

And let's face it, with either of those two options you're going to end up lonely and hurt. But at least if you loved and lost you have some good memories.

Because your heart has a need that, in many cases, supersedes your well thought out choices. Love is an emotion that full-filled at the time that it is happening. It seldom looks toward the future. When you look back on the relationship you should remember all the joy and bliss of the love shared and not the bad or the wrong or the regret. You ask why because you're probably hurt, you are remembering the bad not the good.

I had a boyfriend and I loved him..
but of course it ended between us.

I think it's better that we loved & lost,
because you have the memories..

It's like saying.. being friends or not?
I'd rather be friends with him that not being
anything at all. At least I still get to talk to him.

You'll meet someone. Don't worry about it.

It depends on what you have lost, if love is all you lost then yes
but if you lost a limb, lots and lots of money, many many friendships, 10 or 12 years of life, self worth, your home, health, and almost your life then you would have been better off never to have loved at all.

A heart once fluttered by love can soar to the heavens and beyond floating on the updrafts of beauty and desire......
to live with out that one moment of joy is a waste an empty shell of human existence
The greatest love of all is the bond of parenthood for you can never love anyone more than you do your children

That's a difficult question to answer, but it is very real. I will tell you of my experience which happened many years ago. I was in College, her name was Helen and I adored her. When I went to war, I decided that at the rate that mu buddies and my friends were getting killed that this was no time to ask for a commitment, The letters stopped, and when I came back, I found out that she had married. I do not regret having loved her,nor do I regret that she married someone else. She was perfect for me, and I carry her image in my heart and will for the rest of my days.

Wellllll about 5 months ago I would have said no, but since then I've learned that yes, that is true. If you love, but lose that person you loved, you WILL love again. And it is better than never loving at all becuase you NEED to love someone, its your human nature

Its better to have never been loved. if you lost someone u love, it leaves a scar. and it will always be there. but if u haven't loved yet, u still have that golden opportunity. if your already broken inside, its hard to trust the next person u end up with. even if that person is trustworthy. my friend always questions herself now.......becuz she had her heart broken. and she knows she can trust her new boyfriend, but shes always afriad the same thing is going to happen. but dont worry, u still have time to find the right one. even if something happened in the past u always have a second chance. :)

Yes, it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

"Show me who you love, and I shall show you who you are".

The people we love are our compass points in life. Even if that love is unrequited, we are better and more aware of ourselves for having known them.
