don't go to the recruiters. They'll try to have sex with you.

Just wait. Does he have your address? If he does, you'll get a letter in a week or so, and then you'll have his address.

You don't find out your final address until you get to boot camp, go through receiving, and are put into your platoon. Part of the address is the platoon and company he is in. He won't know that until he gets there so there is no way he can give you that information now.

Ask his parents to let you know as soon as they know.

If none of these work, let me know and I'll find out his address for you within a week of him getting there

I totally agree with Grunt in the above post.

There is no way for him to know his address until he goes through receiving and is assigned a platoon. Believe it or not, they give the new recruits stamps and paper and encourage them to write home. They actually have a form letter that they sign that basically is a generic letter from his Senior DI explaining some things about bootcamp and rules on sending packages, ect. I think there is even a form letter from the Chaplain at MCRD as well. There is a address on there so you know where to write to your recruit too. I know when I got my son's first "letter" I was so excited, then I realized that he had only signed the bottom! They are so busy when they first get there that there is not much time to write. When they eventually do, a lot of them sneak under their covers at night (with their "moonbeams") and write like that hoping not to get caught.

I know it's hard not hearing anything for awhile, but give it 2 or 3 weeks and you should have a letter, or at least an address to write to your recruit. The form letter generally goes to his home address, so check with his parents in a couple of weeks and see if they got it so you can get his address from them.

Hang in there! It's tough in bootcamp but your friend will love getting letters from you and from home--they will help keep him sane while he is there going through radical changes and adjustments and pressure that he has never had to endure before...but will eventually make him a Marine. :)

I would go to the Recruiting station and ask the recruiters there for the help.
