I don't drink much milk, but I'm a tall 15 year old with big bones and they are starting to give me pain so I'm talking calcium tablets with vitamin D. Is it like drinking normal cows milk? Does it contain any protein?

I think that your in fine shape with that.
Many people either don't like:milk or have an aversion or true allergy to it. Most milk has to be "enriched " with vitamin D just to utilize the Calcium in it. Green leafy vegetables are good sources of Vitamin D as, well as calcium
Don't be surprised if your bowel pattern changes because calcium is contained in many antacids and laxatives (but no vit. D.) Be carefully not to take a lot of additional Vit. D supplements> It is a "fat" soluble" vitamin and one that can be taken in excess (A,D,E,K.)
No. There is no protein in Calcium supplements but there are many good sources, in a balance diet, as good ot better than milk ( fish, eggs, legumes, lean meat).
May I say though, Quite likely that Your pain is coming from your muscles and connective tissue and not bones. This is very common, at your age because every thing is not growing at the same rate. That's why they are often refered to as "growing pains".
Don't forget that the fat contained in milk is a rich source of calories but "butter fat" is not the best type of fat for you either.
Hope this helps answer Your question.

Most of the pills are just calcium powder (like chalk). They have no protein and none of the vitamins of milk. However they have much more calcium per pill than a glass of milk.

A pill has about 500 mg. Two gives you the daily requirement of 1000 mg. A glass of milk only has 250mg so you would need to drink 4 glasses to get the daily requirement.

no, calcium tablets don't ahve teh same benefits as milk. it doesn't get absorbed into your bones as well as milk does, but it does help some. its better than nothing, but real dairy products are much better and healthier for you.
