Get a kennel, make a cozy warm bed with blankets, and the clock is a good idea...simulating the mother's heartbeat for a baby is always soothing...Also, put some toys/animals (things he can chew on, too) in it so the puppy can see something that would make it feel like it is not alone...Another important thing, as with a baby, is darkness where he sleeps...Keep it lit as little as possible, so he will go to sleep...Eventually, a baby loses the awake/asleep battle to darkness...

Ok this is verry normal it is ok my puppy did this all you have to do is buy a dog bed and a soft toy that doesnt squek plus a soft blanket to put on the bottom of the dog bed at a doller shop this would all cost about $15 for a smalland then gos up buy $5 max each time you go up a size and then the blanket $10 and toy$5 wich is great i learnt that after i bought it all form a pet shop wich ended up $50 for the bed, $20 for the blanky, and the toy $15. afer you buy this then put the bed in youre room with the toy and blanky in the basket, then you at night pat youre hand on the bed and call the puppy's name if it doeasnt come simply turn the lights of and it will jump in the bed it might wine for a bit if it doese pick it up and hug it and place it in the basket that should fix it remember to lay down nespaper though cause i didnt .........woops!

Well you cant let your dog sleep in the house? Puppies love to know that someone is around them. They feel comfortable and safe. So your puppy is probably crying because she doesn't feel safe by herself. Maybe your can put the newspaper on the verandah and can you put the puppies bed and a extra sheet of paper in your room.
Another thing is I dont know if its just my dog but she loves blankets. She usually is able to get herself under the blankets to keep warm. Well good luck with your puppy ;)

She's crying because she is not used to being alone. What worked for us was, we made her a crate/kennel area indoors, put the newspapers in a box or a waterproof container if she's already paper-trained (that's pretty good!). We bought a Winnie-the-Pooh hand puppet and put a loudly ticking clock inside and pinned it closed. They like the ticking because it sounds like Mother's (or sibling's) heartbeat, but they also like something fuzzy and warm, same reason. When she was fully trained in her pen, we started using those plastic-backed puppy pads and put them near the doors in case she couldn't wait in the night or when we were out. Then she could be loose in the house with our other dog. Very soon she graduated to sleeping in her bed in the bedroom next to our bed. That stopped the crying altogether. She just wanted someone to be close by.

How old is the puppy? Here is a trick that I was told a few years back. Get a clock that ticks and put it under the puppies bed or blanket where the head would be. The clock will sooth the puppy because it sounds kinda like the mommy's heart beat. It worked for our puppy.

Hi there! If you live in the same town as the her parents you need to buy a couple of cheap receiving blankets or just an old towel. Take it to their house and rub it all over the Mom. Bring it home and put it in the puppy's crate or bed. She will sleep soundly.

Get a clock that ticks and set it beside her or in her bed. Just like a human baby, a puppy can get scared and miss it's mother. The ticking of the clock may calm her and make her feel like she is not alone.
I would also recommend a kennel.

A kennel may help. Some other tricks we used were: a warm water bottle under a towel, a mechanical (ticking clock), to provide a sort of 'heatbeat' sound for comfort.

I have heard that a small clock that winds up and ticks works. Also if you have a blanket that has your smell on it will also work. I don't think a kennel will work as all she is looking for is something to comfort her. She is missing her litter mates. Good luck

Our dogs sleep in the bed with us. Your puppy is crying because she doesnt want to be alone. Could you move her bed or crate into your room so she can see you? That might calm her down.
