The story is bogus, but the character Jesus would most likely not celebrate as he had a pretty bad day. In fact he would probably not like to see crosses around everyone's necks as it would remind him of a very bad day that he had 2000 years ago.

Yeshua and his disciples celebrated the pagan holiday of the "Feast Of Simon Cottontail" with colored eggs. Later, when the Lord changed Simon's name to Peter, they changed the rabbit's name, too.

The date of this pagan holiday was variable, it fell on the Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox.

Years later, by sheer coincidence, Yeshua got crucified and then rose from the dead on this very same day, so ever since, that's the day on which we celebrate Easter!

Jesus replaced into God incarnate, it rather is, God made guy. while resurrection won't have been a staggering feat for the all-powerful God, that's actual a miracle to mankind, and that's the reason Jesus confirmed His resurrected physique to the disciples. It wasn't for His earnings; it replaced into for theirs. If He returns to a spirit form lower back, how or why does that inevitably cheapen the resurrection? he's the 2nd person of the Godhead, and would do even though He likes. Easter is concerning to the positive, risen Christ, the sacrifice of the Crucifixion, and Christ's conquering of loss of existence.

That is just silly and you know it! :) Although eggs as a symbol of rebirth have been part of Springtime celebrations in many cultures, the early Christians adopted the custom of cooking and later coloring eggs to remind them of the large stone that was rolled away from Jesus' tomb. Where hte bunny the rolling and the hiding came from is a mystery to me. Love & peace

None of them have attended the Easter celebrations , they were not invited. Roman soldiers were looking for them and they were the chickens who kept hiding their eggs.

I believe the disciples were in hiding and Mary Magdelene was having to tell them what she saw, and then Jesus appeared to them, and the doubting Thomas had to get his feel in of Christs wounds to believe.

Christ risen, and overcoming death.

No, Ishtar or Easter is of PAGAN origin. G*d has nothing to do with paganism, but men have plenty to do with it.

Like color Ishtar, er easter eggs and watch the sunrise to the delight of their pagan worship.

And BTW, Jesus does not have long hair, it indirectly states that in the Bible. So many people portray him with long hair, yet Paul said it is a SHAME for a man to have long hair.

Men should be shamed, but instead SHAME Christ by portraying him with long hair. This and many things men do to G*d and his truth.
