Dried fruits are sticky and have a tendency to adhere to the teeth. They are also high in sugar content, which is reputed to cause tooth decay. However, they do have some excellent nutritional value, and are rich in fiber, so rather than give them up, especially since you enjoy them, why not just rinse your mouth or brush your teeth after eating them?

The problem with dry fruit and teeth is that the fruit will stick to your teeth and can cause gingivitis and cavities. So just brush often, especially after eating the sticky fruit.

It could be because it is higher in sugar content and tends to stick between your teeth more.
