What's the medal that a colonel in the US army wear on his uniform? Like color/strips/symbol etc. Please include website links if you can...i found none.

They don't wear specific "Medals". It's basically an eagle holding Arrows and an Olive Branch. During war, the Eagle looks toward the arrow tip, during peace, the eagle looks toward the olive branch symbolic of peace. My grandfather held the rank of Colonel during WW2, I have his old war birds still. he retired Brig.General.

The symbol of rank is an eagle for colonels, a silver oak leaf for lieutenant colonels. You may here a colonel referred to as a "full bird" or "chicken" colonel.

Do you mean his emblem of rank as a Colonel? It is an insignia of rank and is silver in color. A that is the only insignia of rank he or she wears.
