is it a bad idea to get a friend to talk to an ex?

my best friend is really concerned about me this evening, and in an act of crazyness has added my ex boyfriend to her friends list on msn....i was concerned this would make me look desperate...they havent talked yet and i told her to block him...she now says she wants to send him a message over facebook...is this a bad idea??

Yes, not a good idea. It tends to make you look desperate, and not be "interested" enough to talk to him directly. Bad bad, very bad. And, what if your friend and the ex get together? Very very bad.
