It seems like they have expanded the recall each day. I need to buy dog food. How do I know what I am buying them won't kill them? Where can I get more info on the recall? Is anyone else as freaked out by this as me? My pets are my family.

Try this website. It shows you what has been recalled and what is safe to purchase.

Yes, this pet food recall is very disturbing indeed! I have a cat who I am worried about. I have to buy food for her soon, so I am pretty scared too. I am thinking I will make her food until this scare is over with. (if it ever ends!) There are a substantial amount of pets that have been killed from this recall than what the media is reporting. The whole thing seems like a nasty cover-up. :(

As are my pets. My understanding is that the initial recall was on canned and pouch food. The latest recall was on primarily foods sold under the WalMart label of Old Roy. I feed my dogs Nutro Natural Choice and it's still safe!!!
Don't freak....just stay informed.

There is a web site where the person that runs the site has been emailing me with the foods that are not involved in the recall and her site is called hubpages.com and she has a list of foods that are on the recall list and foods that are not involved in the recall. Her site is called hubpages.com and she always updates her site and she will check into certain foods for you. I am on her email list and thats what she has been doing is emailing me the foods that are not involved in the recall and she has been very helpful. She also has the list that is involved in the recall.
Here are other sites I have been to.
www.petcenter.com
www.AMVA.org
www. peta.org
www. howl 911.com
www. pet connection.com
I hope these will help. good luck

I see what u are going through. Maybe while your shopping for food at Albertsons or something look for an article about the poison or ask a doctor to find what is good for your pet. Or u could just cook food that u eat {make sure your pet can eat the food that u eat} and give some to your pet.

I understand your concern - I believe if you were to search "menu foods petfood recall" you probably should find the answers to your questions - I would like to think that all of the stores have removed the affected foods by now. but just to be safe - check for yourself.
