i have no cocoa powder but i have swiss miss chocolate mix and milo hot chocolate mix

NO!!! Cocoa powder is COMPLETELY different from hot cocoa powder. Cocoa powder is chocolate that's been dried and that's it--nothing added. Cocoa mix has sugar, creamer, etc. added and will make your recipe "flop." You can NOT substitute the two. :(

Let's answer the last question first. Break the egg on the edge of a cup and use the shell to separate the yolk from the white by pouring the white into a cup and holding the yolk back in the shell by tipping it until all you have left in the half shell is the yolk. Then pour into mixing bowl. Use your hot cocoa but it must be mixed with about 1-2 tbsp hot milk to melt it. Then mix into confectioners sugar also known as icing sugar, that has been creamed with softened butter. Eliminate egg yolk it is not needed to make frosting. The powdered sugar is the icing sugar and another small problem is that hot cocoa mix contains sugar that cannot be separated out. It WILL work though.

No. There are ingredients other than cocoa powder in chocolate mix.

Nope sure can't - go to the store and buy Cocoa powder and do it right.

No... hot chocolate mix has powdered milk in it and sugar.

Depending upon what it is.... you probably can. I'd back off elsewhere on the sugar content, though.
