God created us to know him, love him and be happy with him in the next life. How do we go about doing that?

When God made us, he implanted within us a burning desire for his will. Knowing his will and following it will give meaning to our life. This implies that it is our responsibility to give meaning to our life. Our task then is to find out his will for us.

God's plan for our lives is etched in our desires. To discover God's plan we need to have a personal relationship with him. But because he gave us free will, he will not tell us to be a doctor, an engineer or priest. That's up to us. That means we have to pray and reflect on it a bit. Maybe even ask other people to help us discern it. No big deal, really.

All of us have received gifts from God. Our primary gift or best gift is an indication of God's plan for us. We will find in it the handwriting of God. It will point to our life project, our assigned purpose, our God ordained mission. It will also point to our happiness.

Peace and every blessing!

Most people have asked these questions. We want to understand the larger purpose and meaning of our lives. Without purpose, living day to day can become tedious and empty.
Fortunately, there are answers to these questions—answers that can give you a sense of purpose and help you find lasting happiness. Answers such as:

You are a child of God.
Before you were born, you lived as a spirit with God, your Heavenly Father.
You came to Earth to learn to be more like God.
When your life on Earth is over, you can return to live with your Heavenly Father.

He knew he was guna get it bad
when his dad bailed him outa jail
lead him from the station by a handful of his hair
Said "I dont know what to do with ya boy,
I just dont understand,
what the hell makes you act like this?"
And lookin back this lost punk said, he said
"i found it dad,
i found the meaning of life...
Your only born so you can die!"

so you can die

She was showered in money
she was showered in jewels
but her dad beat on her every day and night
and there was nothing she could do
she cut her wrists at 17
everyone wondered why
she had it all she was rich and pretty
but alone each night she'd cry
she found it now
she found the meaning of life
your only born so you can die

so you can die
yeah

you find it now
you find the meaning of life
your only born so you can die
you find it now
you find the meaning of life
your only born so you can die

so you can die

I don't think we are meant to know. If you knew the answers then it would be pointless, that is why God gave us free will. I think that the meaning of life is different for everyone. God puts us all in many different places to affect the people we are around in a positive way....or we can choose to do something that will hurt others. If God gave us the anwers then there would be no point in any of this.

To fellowship with your Creator.

Fellowship was lost due to sin. The sin issue could not be dealt with by good works, traditions, or rituals. The wages of sin is death. A loophole was created by God that a substitute death could be used, hence the Levitical system of sacrifice, a picture of what was to come. God came down in the form of man, to live, and die in our place to re-establish our lost fellowship. This event tore the veil in the Temple to announce that the wall of separation between man and God was over. All we need do is come to Christ for the cleansing of sins and obtain the once-lost fellowship.

Why are we here? - For God to obtain a people, who by free will choice, choose Him without seeing Him. Who trust in Him when all the world trusts themselves.
