This is science. Forget "logical" arguments. Especially forget political arguments (Al Gore has nothing to do with the science).

Look at the data.

A very short version is here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Climate_Change_Attribution.png

The best summary of the data is here:

http://www.ipcc.ch/SPM2feb07.pdf

A good website (with lots of data) is here:

http://www.realclimate.org

"climate science from climate scientists"

A good book is this:

http://www.amazon.com/Weather-Makers-Changing-Climate-Means/dp/0871139359/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-3714892-4628862?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1175451041&sr=8-1

Science is about data, not clever arguments.

There's a movie out called swindle which says it's fiction. It uses bad data.

" A Channel 4 documentary claimed that climate change was a conspiratorial lie. But an analysis of the evidence it used shows the film was riddled with distortions and errors"

http://news.independent.co.uk/environment/climate_change/article2355956.ece

The data is why the vast majority of scientists think it's fact. Data about that here:

In the begging of the year many debates were held as to whether or not Global Warming was real. However, there is a LOT of mounting scitentific evidence. The U.N. launched a multi million dollar study and they are 90% sure that Global Warming is not just a natural phase and that humans are causing it.
Carbon Dioxide is the main contributer to Global Warming. Carbon Dioxide is a good thing to have in the atmophere until you have too much of it. Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gases cause the Earth to heat up. If you have excessive greenhouse gases then the Earth will get hotter and hotter and hotter. Carbon Dioxide is released from power plants, cars, and other things that burn fossil fuels.
Global Warming is a fact.
2005 was the hottest year on record.
Hurricanes intensity has increased by 100%
Over 400,000 square miles (about the size of texas) of sea ice has melted.
AND
0 bills have been passed by congress adressing this issue
Global Warming is a fact and if you still have any doubts then see an unconvient truth. It was the scariest movie i have ever seen and i opened my eyes to MY impact on our world and how what I do affects my great great grandchildren...
Also go to myfootprint.org and take the carbon foootprint quiz.
I hope I helped!

If you'll notice that the weather is caotic, this is produced by global-warming, also Hurricanes we're about 1 mile wide not like now the size of TEXAS, The warmer weather is causeing this. Global-warming started in 1970 and all life on this planet will cease to exist, whether you believe it or not by 2050=FACT.

I personally don't believe it. Look at today (07 April 2007). Snow in almost all of the country, even Texas, is that global *warming*?.. I think that set a record for Texas.

Al Gore is talking about it because he is making profits from the carbon off set credit scheme.

The weather changes over the eons, that's all. Remember learning about the ice age in school?

Don't worry about it, just enjoy your life.

Does global warming exist? Fact.

Is global warming caused by man? Fiction.

Global warming is real. While human activity isn't what causes it, it sure helps it along.

Global warming is a very complex collection of many effects

this text only covers some aspects of global warming mainly man made desertification

industrial contamination ,the contaminating effects of the cities ,is another story

there are natural cycles in the planets life
but a lot is influenced by mans existance ,and this is increasing with overpopulation, putting strains on Natural resources and increasing contaminations as well as destructions of essential componants the ensure living conditions for all life forms

in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification and some have died as a result

in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert,

,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were very few desserts.

collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like, over grazing and fertilizers,

each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss

and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
and there are 70 million more peole every year that have to eat and drink and wash

who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers
who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing

RISING SEAS
The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.
this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.

if forrest are being exchanged for ashalt, concrete and desserts
what is gonna keep this planet habitable for us

Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,

At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.

SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

and improve economis situations for people who live in areas where deforestation has become their only alternative for survival ,which is a short term solution that has long term negative effects

try to replace farming with eco tourism,

more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks

,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour

alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

recicling wastes,limit water use

here are a 100 more ways

Instead of worrying about it, just continue reading news articles to keep up with developments. As long as your mind is open, you can figure it out for yourself.
