Your definition of 'good people', 'doing what's right' and 'evil' aren't shared by everyone.
Since the end of WW2, America has been involved in the overthrow of nearly a hundred governments. Some were brutal dictatorships, but many were free democracies, where a socialist or Communist had been elected. Look at Vietnam: over a million innocent Vitnamese killed. Is that doing what's right? Or fighting evil?
Yes, you help with disaster relief projects, and we're all very glad about that. But that doesn't mitigate the fact that you do rather like blowing up people.

One: We're a fairly prosperous nation. The Communists and socialists hate us because free markets create power and wealth outside their control.
Two: The Despots and Dictators hate us because when they start killing too many people, we have the tendency to notice and get involved.
Three: Many Muslims hate the US because it was supposedly formed as a Christian nation, and we stand in their way of forming a world of Islamic injustice. See number two above for how we get involved in despotic regimes.
The US may not always do the right thing, but at least we try to do what we think is right. Unfortunately, even in our own nation, there are those who would like to change us into another despotic third world nation with regulations on every facet of life. They would like for us to have a weak military, so that we can't even defend ourselves, yet want us to be the welfare capital of the world!
You can't have a prosperous nation and a nation that's heavily weighted down with government welfare. Our nation has prospered mostly by limiting the intrusion of our government into our daily lives. Europe envies us, because although they have more government programs, they have higher unemployment rates because employers have a greater burden on them for hiring employees. They envy us, because we get tax cuts and our economy booms!
Anyways, that's my two cents as to why people "hate America".

Few people can be truly happy without some person, nation, or creed to hate.

Lots of nations have hated us for decades. The Internet is spreading the hate. It's the cool thing to do.
If you're for real, Bien, I apologize for my last answer to you. I just thought your question was just 'winding the Americans up' as the Brits and Canadians do with their classy sense of humor they always hide behind. I lived in GB, but I visited Calais and Paris while I was there and not one soul was rude to me. It was like a vacation from the culture of hate in the UK.

Some hate our involvement with other countries of the world.
Some are taught to hate freedom by their religion, public relations machines, or government.
Others see us as the rich few as we have among the higher standards of living and much cultural influence on the world. They find new ways to hate us everyday. They see our media (films, etc) as representative of all Americans.
The crazy ones hate the idea of freedom and religious tolerance. They'd rather see us under Shariah law.
