If you eat too many carrots over several days your skin can turn orange-- looks like jaundice.
I had an employee who worked for me a long time ago who was the quality control person at our frozen food processing plant and we were doing frozen cooked squash (same color as carrots -contains beta carotene) She was the one who had to eat some of the squash about every hour for flavor. After about 4-5 weeks of this she turned kind of orange and her doctor would not let her work for several weeks. That is not a myth. Too much carotene.
However, if you were to eat some carrots every day I doubt that would be enought to cause a problem.

actually yes, this one is not a myth. Its the carotene in carrots that will change your pigmentation. However, you would have to eat a pretty massive amount of carrots for this to happen. In most cases the person is combining crazy intake of carrots, carrot juice, and supplements when this happens. The chances of it just happening to a person who simply enjoys the taste of a carrot and has a few sticks or so is very unlikely. Even a carrot a day should not make this happen! I would no worry about it. Also, its a slow process so you would sense it starting, AND its not permanent! So if you DO start to change color, just back off on the carotene veggies. Switch from carrot sticks to cucumber slices or something, and it will go away in no time.

Actually, yeah you will.
If you eat enough, the same stuff that turns the carrots orange will also tint your skin orange.

Yes, it's true. You would probably have to eat a lot of carrots and nothing else to turn your skin color orange. Once you stop eating them you turn back to normal.

Yes. An excess of Vitamin A is stored in the body, not peed away, and excess over time can cause yellowing of the skin.
This is often seen in older infants when they are fed too many carrots and squash. The new mommas are eager to feed their kid healthy foods and overdo it. But you've got to eat a good deal of it as an adult or teen to discolor your skin.

yeah, you will, but you need to eat at least four to eight pounds of carrots a day before any part turns orange.

While looking around for an answer, I came across this site, where a girl decides to find out. She goes on an all carrot diet for 30 days. Check it out, and you will see.

I don't know about that - but if you drink a lot of carrot juice, it can cause your lips and mouth to have a orange "stain".
I never thought about it, but I know someone who was on a juiced veggie diet and her lips got rather orange! Of course,
she was drinking a LOT of carrot juice.....
