That's a very broad question. Some Christians do believe in reincarnation, but most don't. The bible is open to interpretation. The most important thing is to know you can't say "All Christians believe this" and such. Jesus was resurrected (same body, same spirit), not reincarnated according to Christian tradition, now some Hindus believe that Jesus was an avatar for Vishnu, like Krishna and Buddha before him, but again, not all believe that.

Tricky question the way you worded it. Reincarnation is defined by being reborn in a new body. Typically, this is meant to mean we are reincarnated either as another person (later in time) or as another creature. Christians believe in the idea that your soul survives the physical death of your body. Moreover, Christians believe that they will be resurrected (returning to physical life). Resurrected is slightly different in that you keep your current body. Jesus was viewed as resurrected by Christians. Finally, Christians believe the current earth and current heaven will go away and there will become a new heaven and a new earth. At that time, Christians believe they will get a new body. Within this content/definition, Christians believe in reincarnation. They don't believe in reincarnation as other animals or other people living today.

The people who have real wisdom in the bible know that we were alive on this earth once before . But this is not the reincarnation that one usually thinks of. Please don't try to equate Christ's Resurrection as a reincarnation. The same body was brought back and transfigured into the kind of body we all had in the first go round.

Supposedly not, but if I remember correctly, they thought John the Baptist was the reincarnation of Elijah. Personally, I've thought that it was possible that we might be reincarnated if we didn't do it right the first time, kinda like God giving us a few more chances to get it right, but that once we did figure things out, we could then rest until judgment. Course, that's just one of my silly theories, and I've been told more than once its not christian.
Jesus was a different scenario alltogether. He came back in the same body, so He wasn't reincarnated.

The Catholic church does not recognize/believe in reincarnation.
Officially -
"We die only once and then we are judged"
"There are many good people who believe in reincarnation, but this is one belief that Christians can't accept. We know that through our faith in Jesus we will be with God in the next life!"
Since Jesus ascended into heaven in his human form and then returned to earth in the same form...it is not considered reincarnation, it is considered Resurrection.

"Reincarnation" is not a Biblical belief; therefore, is not a dogma of the Christian faith. Jesus Christ was murdered by the religion practitioners of His day, was buried in a tomb, after 3 days was resurrected to life again, and ultimately, was taken up in a cloud to be with His Father, in heaven. He now, awaits for His Father's permission to return to this earth, once again. Jesus Christ is the only One with immortality - no other being has it but Him (see: first Timothy 6th Chapter, verse 16). Therefore, we can conclude, that upon a person's death, he or she is dead within a grave, awaiting for Jesus to come back to earth to resurrect them to life - each, in his or her turn (order of operations) .

No. What do you mean with Jesus? He never died and came back as someone else, He came back as a spiritual being and that is not what reincarnation is. Reincarnation is dieing and being sent back through life until you get it right.

No! They do not believe in reincarnation. They believe in Heaven and Hell. The catholics believe in purgatory which is a waiting place for the people going to Heaven. The people stay there until their 'debt' (sin) is payed off. Christians don't believe in a purgatory.

reincarnation is not a biblical truth...Jesus was reincarnated He was resurrected..........reincarnation is an eastern mystic religious belief that renders incompleteness in death...If you accept Christ, confess your sin, repent and follow Him...death is defeated...and eternal life is yours...no need to come back.....
