After the water boils usually leave the eggs in like 10 min or so and they should be done.

HARD BOILED EGGS :
The cooking time is the same that you cook 1 or 50 eggs.
It's 6 minutes after the boiling point, or 4 1/2 if you like the yokes softer.

And if you want to peel them without damaging the white, put them in very cold water first.
The shell will come smoothly.

put eggs in cold water start the flame when the water begins to boil 13 min later and you will have perfect eggs (when they have the Grey around them the are over cooked) cool the eggs under cold water the faster you cool the eggs the easi er it is to peel them. I always add some salt to the water after I put the eggs in the water to boil Makes them easier to peel

Got this from the Food Network.

Place your eggs in a pot with plenty of salt and then fill it up with water.

Let the water come up to a boil and let it boil for three minutes.

Cover the pot and turn off the heat and let it set for ten minutes.

Then place the eggs in ice water for a few minutes.

This should make them easy to peel and not many cracked eggs.

Place cold eggs in water, cover w/ lid. Bring water to a boil. Simmer 3 minuts, then cut off heat and let the eggs sit until cool enough to peel (around an hour).

i just did boil some for deviled eggs, i poil mine fore about 10 minutes in a hard rolling boil, but before it starts boiling, i add about a tablespoon of salt to the water, when the eggs are done, i drain the water, leaving the eggs in the pan, i fill it with ice cubes and cold water for about 20 minutes.
i hit the big ends of the eggs together and the shells peel like they have zippers on them.

Don't forget to use a pin of some sort to poke a whole in the thicker end of the egg so that it releases the air pressure there and doesn't´t break the side of the egg.

I like to boil the living yoke out of them for Easter eggs...I usually let them boil away for like 7 minutes AFTER they begin to boil.

Best Regards.

Start with filling the pan with eggs and put enough water in it to cover the eggs by 1 inch. Put on stove and put 1 Tbs of vinegar in it, this keeps them from cracking and makes them easier to peel when you want to eat them. Once the water starts boiling, set a timer for about 12 minutes. Once done, carefully pour the water out of the pan and set pan in sink and let cold water pour over them for about 3-4 minutes to cool them down.
