You can't argue with the LDS using the Bible, because they don't really trust it. The belief that Jesus and Lucifer are spirit brothers isn't in the Bible or Book of Mormon. They may try to come up with a verse in the Bible and say "Here is the proof!", but the truth is that the doctrine isn't right. If Jesus and Lucifer were spirit brothers don't you think he would have made mention of that to his followers or disciples. My understanding is that Lucifer was an fallen angel. He want to be God and was basically kicked out of Heaven. I always thought that Angels were a separate creation of God. We are not the same species. So how could Lucifer be our spirit brother or even Christ's for that matter. We are not children of God until we accept Jesus.

Alma 7:10 is composed of a prophecy by potential of technique of Alma relating to the transport of Christ. The passages places Christ’s transport to be indoors the ‘land of Jerusalem’, particularly than ‘city of Bethlehem’. The e book of Mormon makes use of the ‘land of Jerusalem’ countless situations. Critics have long concluded that it rather is data that Joseph Smith exchange into making the e book of Mormon up. As with optimal assaults on the e book of Mormon, an glaring susceptible spot has exchange into large data for authenticity. The ineffective Sea Scrolls and various on the instantaneous got here across historic records from Israel verify that the be conscious ‘land of Jerusalem’ exchange into an genuine term used to describe the section around Jerusalem, an area that incorporates Bethlehem. Joseph Smith knew that Christ exchange into born in Bethlehem, he exchange into wakeful of the Bible and the recommendations of the transport of Jesus. If he have been making the e book of Mormon up, why would desire to he have made one between those extreme blunder. it is not smart if he have been the author of the e book of Mormon; yet, it makes perfect adventure if he have been basically translating an genuine historic checklist which used a term common to historic human beings.

Kerry's reply shows well the proof to which you're asking. But of course, you're a biblical scholar in name only, right?
Why don't you read the Bible and study while doing so? Had you done it, you wouldn't be asking the question, but telling everyone else about those supporting scriptures.
The LDS faith has more scriptures to rely on besides the Bible, yet we Mormons happen to be quite conversant with the Bible as opposed to other Christians. Have you noticed that too?

Mormons have 'supplements' to the Bible, and a present day prophet. We believe that the Bible is not the only source of divine revelation, and that God still has things to tell us today. It is from these other sources that we learned that they were brothers.
Basically, we believe that everyone (except God) is spiritually related. We believe that we had a premortal life as spiritual beings, because God created us as spirits before he ever created the Earth. When God was planning our salvation, Lucifer had a different idea. These conflicting plans led to a 'war' in heaven (there is some debate as to whether it was an actual fight or just a long argument), and after that Lucifer and all his followers were cast out. If you haver any more questions, feel free to contact me.

Isaiah 14:12-15 discusses the fact that Lucifer was indeed 'the son of the morning' in the presence of God the Father.
Ergo, since he is a son of God then that makes him not only the brother of Jesus, but also the brother of all mankind since we are also the children of God.
Maybe that explains why temptation is so hard to resist - when your big brother makes doing something sound so easy and so good and so worthwhile, it's awfully hard to say no even when we know what he is saying is a lie.
And it also explains why doing what Jesus says makes us happy and feel good, because he is also our big brother but he is willing to help us instead of hurting us for his own amusement.
Hope that helps.

There is a lot of scriptural support of this in the Bible. There are scriptures to support the fact that we all lived in a "pre-mortal" existence with God prior to coming here to earth. There is also Biblical scripture telling us the God is the "father" of our spirits, ie we are all spiritual offspring of God. That offspring would also include Satan. And, if God is our Father, that would make us all brothers and sisters, including Satan.
I will list the biblical references:
Job 38:7 We, as spirit children in pre earth life, shouted for joy at the plan to come to earth.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before the prophet Jeremiah was born out of his mother's belly, God knew him and ordained him....evidence of pre-earth life with God.
Hebrews 12:9 Paul is teaching us the difference between our earthly fathers, our physical body father and God, our Heavenly Father, the father of our spirits.
Revelations 12: 7-9 SThis passage describes the "war in heaven" where Satan wanted glory over Christ, but was cast out to become the devil. Again, Satan was there in the pre earth world with the rest of us as spirit children of God.
Numbers 16: 22 God is God of all spirits of flesh, meaning we all have a spirit body.
Job 32:8 We all have a spirit body
Psalms 82:6 We are "gods" and his children.
Malachi 2:10 We are all of one God, our father, who created us (spiritually....would make Satan our brotherr).
Ecclesiastes 12:7 After we die, our spirit bodies return back to God who gave us life.
Matthew 5:48 be ye perfect even as your "fFather" is perfect (God).
Acts 17:29 We are the offspring of God.
Hosea 1:10 We are the sons of God
Zechariah 12:1 God formed the spirit inside us.
Isaiah 14:12 Satan was with us in the pre earth life, but fell from heaven and became the devil
I could go on and on as there are many biblival scrptures to support this. And, I haven not even used the Book of Mormon
which gives further scriptural support of all of this.

Wait....if Heavenly Father created us, then that makes him our Father, right? So if lucifer isn't Heavenly Fathers creation, then lucifer created himself? Just because your brother is a murderer or something, doesn't mean he still isn't your brother.

I am a Born Again Christian and I think your question is somewhat mis-informed. Mormons actually believe that we are all gods and we existed with God before the creation of the universe. This is a incorrect interpretation as Jesus Christ is referred to as "The Only Begotten Son Of God"
The Mormon religion also teaches that faith in Jesus Christ is not enough. One must believe that Joseph Smith is equal to Christ Jesus. Their "Doctrines of Salvation" pp189-190 teach this heresy. Rev. 22: 18-19 warns all of us about adding to, or subtracting from the Word of God.
Gal.1:8 Paul also admonishes us to be aware of false teachings.
Christ Jesus is our Redeemer, He is our Salvation and He alone can cleanse us from the stain of sin. Give Him all the Praise and Glory, this is pleasing to God.
God Bless You....Praise The Holy Lamb Of God!!!!

Did you know that Lucifer is also YOUR brother? And MY brother? and Pres. Hinckley's and Joseph SMith's and Billy Grahams and the mail man and the baby sitter, and your boss, the list goes on.
WE are ALL the "SPIRIT" children of our Heavenly Father. That is in the Bible. That before He formed usin the womb, He knew us. That when we die, our spirits return tothe FAther who gave them.
