find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

you have to look for calories, trans fat, sugars, sodium.

you may have no choice to give up some of the food you eat to lose weight how ever you may be able to eat the same amount of fook if it is healthy. One key rule is eat breakfast and dont eat a lot befor bed. If your going to eat a lot eat more in the morning an early afternoon. basically you do want to whatch for both calories and fats. maybe start exercising even a 10 minute jog a day can do a lot

if you dont want to diet your best bet is with exercise

ok

main things ...

saturated fats as a percentage of the fat in the food should be less than 5 percent (might be tought to comply with)

NO trans fats

LOW GI Sugars....

Calories....to loose weight you have to take in less than you use (i think thats a law in thermodynamics or something)....average active guy needs 2500 kcals a day...so to loose weight eat less than that.

well it both watch your calories and fats and saturated fat in take and supplement bad snack foods for fruits and veg's and you would have to just play around to see what best works for you and your body that's whats important .

You can eat anything you want, all you want as long as what you eat is good. Remember you are what you eat. Its true.
