How long have you been on Zoloft? Have to been back to your physician since being prescribed the medication? Usually SSRI's and other anti-depressants take 6-8 weeks until a change in mood can be observed. Suicidal tendencies often increase the first couple of weeks after starting a new medication like Zoloft.
If you haven't been back to your physician, then I would make an appointment with him/her. Have you considered talking with a counselor about your PTSD? Some times medication cannot help the problem alone. Take it one day at a time!

I understand about the Zoned out Feeling my wife is on Zoloft and at only 10 mgs to start wasnt doing the trick the doc then increased the dosage upto 25mgs and that has helped her. So what you should do is get back into the docs office on Monday and tell them the dosage needs to be adjusted or even anther more stronger med is needed my wife not only takes Zoloft but is on Effexor XR as well she is a little Bi-Polar.

Tell ur doctor that zoloft is making zoned out. There may be something better for u, such as Lamotrigine (if u have medical benefits, as it is expensive). Talk to ur doctor about it. Make sure u have waited the period for ur body to get used to it.

You should talk to your doctor about that. He may have misdiagnosed your problem. Or maybe Zoloft just isn't working for you. I wish I had some Zoloft. I tried Doxepin one time, but it dried my mouth out, made me constipated, and gave me this crazy urge to eat until it hurt.
