How old are you? I can tell you if my daughter played one parent off the other there would be H3ll to pay. She would first get punished for the action that I said no to + loose whatever it was that she wanted. And then she would have to be punished for the back door behavior.
I say no you shouldn't do it. The nose ring isn't worth the trust you'll loose, the fight you'll cause between your parents and then the punishment you'll eventually recieve.

If you are living with your mom and she says no, then you better not get it done. You will just cause trouble with your mom if you get it done. Your dad don't have a say over it. So if he says you can get it done with out talking to your mom, you are the one that will be in trouble when you get home.

Please don't go against your mother's decision but also get your dad's opinion concerning this issue. If he agrees with your mom then forget about doing this until you're on your own but if he agrees with you perhaps he can persuade your mother to change her mind. Either way this is not such an important issue that you should allow it to cause great conflict between you and your mom.

talk to your whole family. maybe someone in there is for it and will get your mom to let you. otherwise, i'd wait till i was 18 if i were you. you don't want to have a grudge with your mom just because you disagreed on something as little as getting a piercing. just wait till your 18. then the most she can do is NOT LIKE IT.

Someday you will look back on this trend and wonder why you did it. But its not about the nose piercing I think it is about respect for your parents wishes. When you move out and can pay for your rent etc. then you can do the piercing.

i see it this way ---
if you live with your mother full-time, and you father part of the time, don't put your dad in the middle by expecting him to let you get the piercing.
if you do, you are using him, and also being disrespectful of your mom.
just my two cents... maybe get a nose peircing when you're of age do to so without parental consent.

Think about when you are old enough to hold down a job. No serious employer will take you into consideration.

I wouldn't recommend it. I heard of someone who defied her parents and pierced her ears, and they got infected. Your mom may just be looking out for you. (Fortunately the girl's parents were able to fix things.)
