So go and live in a village in Tanzania and get all the water you can drink for a pound a week. That'll teach those leaches at North West Water.

perhaps because we in this country use 100 times the water every day that people in places like Tanzania do. Because we waste more water running the tap whilst brushing our teeth than these people do? Because we are so used to being able to just turn on a tap and get as much clean water as we need that we completely take it for granted rather than appreciate it as people in water-poor countries do?

Come on, we all know that there is a constant shortage of water in Northern England,it must be expensive to find.

Did you know Old Father Thames is owned by a German Water Company, so all the water consumed in our nations capital is passed by the Germans.

Down South we are on water meters @ £1.68 per m cu.

Because the average wage in Africa is less than a pound a day.

Try asking your average Geordie Water worker to survive on that in the UK. Reduce the country's wages, reduce retail prices, reduce the huge cost of electricity to clean and pump the water to your home and reduce the energy wasted in thousands of streets and empty offices around the country. (At 4am in winter, the UK looks like an overdressed Christmas tree from the air. Everyones asleep! Who needs all those lights?).

Downsize the UK and you too can have 'cheap' water.
