why dose my computer freeze when i try to updat it?

Do you get a yellow bar at the top of the screen telling you someone is trying to access your computer? It usually tells you to click to view a message, and for you to indicate whether or not you will accept it.

If not, have you completely denied "cookies." Some sites will not allow access and some programs will not allow a download if you deny cookies.

Go to Tools, Internet Options, Privacy tab
I have the slider set to medium.
