Only success I have had was gargling with warm salt water and Cepocal Spray.

Sore throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1 tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria.

Gargle with warm salt water (1 cup warm water to 1 teaspoon salt). It has been around forever and it really works. If you are talking about strep throat pain (the swallowing glass kind of pain), salt water will help it heal but it will still hurt like crazy

Try a tablespoon of mustard and drinking Green Tea. Worked for me. I hope it helps. When taking the mustard ( I know it sounds horrible) try to swallow it quickly. It soothes the throat. The Green Tea has antioxidant in it and this helps as well. Good luck!

gargle with listerine or salt with warm water. even try honey lemon tea. Stay away from acidic foods that can irritate it more and soda....Apply some vicks vapo-rub. If you arent feeling better within a day or two it might be an infection that requires prescribed meds....Check your tonsils and see if they have white spots on them, thats a sign....If they are swollen, that is usually normal.

7 recipes for sore throat on www.recipezaar.com.
Also locally, we use dried lemon peel for sore throats...not the best tasting thing though. You can suck on a little piece or put a little in some tea and drink it.
