For my english class, we we're told to write a paper on some type of disability a person was born with- whether it be deaf, blind, etc.. but we were told to not use those. So, is it okay if I were to write it on Tourettes? It's something people are born with right, but is more obvious as the child grows? We're also supposed to write about whether they form a community and how so? any help? THANKS!

I think that's a fantastic subject. It's one that is not explored very often, as it creates a social disability rather than a physical one. Did you know that "coprolalia," the outburst of obsecenities and curse words is one of the least common symptoms, and yet the most-publicized?
