My son is napping and I don't want to do the dishes. Besides, I like infecting the religious mind with rationality.

They don't. It's just your perception. In reality you won't know who is atheist is who isn't. Some might like to answer questions because maybe they still have questions. Looking at some of the pictures from the Hubble Space Telescope certainly makes me ask lots of questions....about God? No. And am I an atheist?
I don't know. It's hard to know what one really believes because some parts of belief are fluid. One day one can have a solid belief and another day none at all. There are great mysteries. But I'd rather decide what they are than have someone tell me what they are. Many religious people are so certain about their beliefs they have no room for others thoughts or ideas. They have no questions. Everything is answered for them. I think it's better to know that are still questions that are open...that may never have an answer. It lends mystery and intrique to life.

WE are trying to start dialogs, most of us know it is a futile attempt to convert Fundamentalists, but maybe a few people who are reading who are asking questions about he holes and inconsistancies in religious dogma will see something that will stear them away from make believe Gods.

Because I've studied religions in significant enough detail and I CAN answer questions. Being of benefit to all sentient beings is the best thing I CAN do w/ my time.
Why are some people so excited about making illogical, blanket statements that have no merit except to serve as unkind speech?

Why are Christians so interested in asking silly questions? Everyone has the right to be here. You don't have to be a Christian to be on this forum. You can be Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, atheist, agnostic. Whatever you believe, you have a right to be here. If you don't like it then don't be here, or better yet, start your own Christian only website/chat room.

I noticed that.
Some are people with axes to grind. Maybe they have been hurt by people of faith, clergy, family, friends, etc.
Now it has been noticed that during the week the smart alec answers really start rolling in about the time school starts letting out. It is possible that a lot of little snot nose brats are getting on their computers and they think they are funny.
I saw a question one night asking for people to pray for the questioner. No one knows what the problem might have been. It might have been someone contemplatiing suicide, who knows. However there were some persons who had real smart alec crude remarks to make.
Even if a person is an atheist they should show more responsibility.

Not really. I've got the day off. Besides, I used to be religious. And then I realized how stupid it was. And I'm here to help other people realize the same thing.

"The burden is not on the the Atheists to disprove Gods existance, but on the faithful to prove that he does" - Sam Harris.
Wouldn't you try to correct a reasonably intelligent adult who believed in the tooth fairy? Same difference.
