When Jesus appears in his role of world governor, King Messiah, the jews will be the first to recognize him. They've been expecting such a king all along.

As a nation - the Jews had the first chance at salvation - Jesus was sent to them first. However, when the Jewish nation (as a whole) rejected him as the promised Messiah they lost their special standing before God.

Jesus said that the kingdom was being taken away from them and given to a nation producing it's fruits - that "nation" was true Christians - out of every nation, tribe and tongue.

Individual Jews still have the opportunity for everlasting life - just like everyone else - but they are no longer "God's people" as a nation.

I suggest that you read yours. Both Jewish and Christian doctrine recognize Jehovah God. Christians accept the fact that Jesus Christ (hence the word, "Christian') is the son of God and the Messiah. Jews do NOT recognize Jesus as the Messiah...they are, sadly, still looking for him which will cause them to accept in error the Antichrist as their messiah.Peter preached to 15 different Jewish nationalities on the day of Pentecost and saw thousands of them converted. Even though the gospel was also opened up to the Gentiles, it did not nor has it ever forbade that we also try to convert the Jews or any other group of non-believers. Jesus came to "seek and to save that which was lost" whether Jew, Gentile, Black, White, Red, Rich or poor. WHOSOEVER will call upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE saved.

Just for the record, "Jews" do not recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah. He was a holy man and prophet, and considered a son of Man and a son of God because of this.

The believers in Judaism are waiting for the Messiah just like the rest of us. They just have a different idea as to who that Messiah is.

Someone please speak up and correct me if I have mispoken. I would like to be as accurate as passionate in matters such as this.

And yes, they do believe that they will be the ones to recognize the one "True King of the People," and that is a part of their path as "God's Chosen People." Which, by the way, is not an epitaph to be taken lightly, as they were the ones who accepted the gauntlet thrown to follow Word as Law. No one else, at least according to teachings, was willing to make those sacrifices and meet those demands.

You cannot convert those who do not, in their eyes, need converting.

But...who am I to say much? I am but a student of many unique and learned teachers.

Many Blessings...

No, we're technically expecting Elijah the Prophet, and leave a ceremonial cup at our seder tables, brimming with wine, for him each year; we open the door to let him enter. We technically consider Jesus a "false messiah", largely because he died. Frankly, that isn't supposed to happen. I'm no rabbi, but I' m relatively certain that there are other reasons as well. I'm happy to hear that Christians aren't to try converting us, though; we haven't many left, post Holocaust.

Shalom.

Conversion isn't from Jew(Law) to Christian(Another Law).
Conversion is a chanGe: from (law) glory to (grace) glory.
Get it: "understanding" = "grace glory" (Proverbs 4).
With all thy getting, get understanding.

King Kong is not coming to El Kabong anyone.
Jesus Christ "came" already with grace and truth.
