STEVEN F ..It is NOT a matter of being impatient.. I am in need of that money to help with a family member's funeral expenses, but if that makes me impatient so be it.

Why is everyone so impatient? If the mailed the check YESTERDAY from across town, you would be lucky to have it by now. Wait a few days.

It's usually pretty quick. My son's was mailed on Friday and he got it on Monday. I would expect it on Monday or Tuesday...2-3 days max.

5 to 10 days, IRS doesn't use express mail.
for a faster refund, file electronically and have them do an electronic trans to your bank account
