AFLAC is supplimental insurance not just disablity. if you get hurt and go to the hospital or you doctor for treatment, your major medical makes sure you doctor gets payed, but aflac pays you cash so that you can pay your house payment, rent, food, etc even though you cant work. they have several policies too...

accident
sickness
hospital confinment
cancer
vision
dental (this one doesnt pay cash though, payment goes to you dentist. and you can go to any dentist you want.)
disablity (short term only)
long term care
life (whole and term)
specified health event (heart attack, stroke, major stuff)
ICU
maybe another, cant remember

i use to think their commercial use to talk about their disability policies, but now im leaning tward the accident.

They sell insurance.....Several types...
But their best seller is a disability insurance ..
The disability insurance (Two types long term and short term) will pay you while you are off of work due to a covered illness.

Most insurance companies sell the same type of insurance but they don't have the cute little duck!!

They send you a check (Which I believe isn't taxable.).
But the illness must be covered by the policy...And most likely you still must pay the premiums while you are off work..
