I worked as a contractor, so taxes were not taken out. I sent in money for my estimated taxes, now that I'm filing my tax return I do not remember how much I sent in...Is there a place to call to determine the amount?

Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, once they verify your identity they can verify the amounts of estimated payments that your made for 2006

In addition to Rob's answer, you NEED to keep better records. If you don't know how much you sent the IRS, how many other expenses have you misplaced the documentation for?

Call the IRS - they'll be able to tell you. Or check your bank statements assuming you paid by check.
