Growing up? i remember there was some story about him hunting a bird with a stone then felt bad and brought it back to life. Did he sin as a little child. Do we have any stories of his childhood?

JESUS CHRIST: The only-begotten Son of god, the only son produced by Jehovah alone. This son is the firstborn of all creation. By means of him all other things in heaven and on earth were created. He is the second-greatest personage in the universe. It is this son whom Jehovah sent to the earth to give his life as a ransom for mankind, thus opening the way to eternal life for those of Adam's offspring who would exercise faith.

I have not read the story in-which you speak of, but I assure you that if this is in the Bible it is there for a good reason.

WAS JESUS PERFECT? WHY YES!.....

If Jesus was a sinner there would be NO way today that we could have a chance of everlasting life.

Adam was a perfect man before he sinned, therefore there had to be a perfect sacrifice. this perfect sacrfice was indeed JESUS CHRIST!

According to the Bible, Jesus "was tempted in every way, but without sin". He faced every desire and temptation that a normal person (or child) would, but he did not every sin.

The Bible itself has all one incident from the childhood of Jesus. That is in Luke 2:41-52. It tells of a trip to Jerusalem where he is left behind.

There are other "gospels" that tell stories of the childhood of Jesus. But those books date from hundreds of years after the time of Jesus, and are not considered to have any historical value. When Christianity became "official" religion of the Roman Empire, hundreds of fictional books about him were written. The "Proto-Evangel of James", from which the story of Jesus and the bird comes, is one of those fictional works.

As a child, was Jesus "perfect"? As the Bible says he GREW in wisdom, I would take that to mean that he had to learn things like how to walk, how to talk, how to read, etc. just like any child. He did not know everything when he was six months old. So he probably missed math problems, or misspelled words, etc. while learning. But he did not SIN. (There is a difference).

the bible doesnt tell much about Jesus's childhood, except for that time when He was 12 and He was lost and was found in the temple.

but the gnostic gospels do go into his childhood. but those stories are kinda creepy, theres one where a boy bumps into child Jesus and Jesus spills whatever He was carrying and says to the boy "fall and dont get up" and then He slaps him and the boy dies.

theres another gnostic story of Jesus and a boy playing on the roof, and the boy falls and dies. Everyone thinks Jesus pushed the boy, and to prove them wrong He tells the boy to tell what happened. And the dead boy got up, said he feel and then went back to being dead.

so to answer your question, yes Jesus was perfect. Those gnostic gospels were odd, they even say that Jesus didnt die on the cross, that it was a hologram.

That is a wonderful question. It causes me to feel some discomfort. Well done!

It forces me to acknowledge that the idea of perfection can have meaning only in relative terms, and therefore cannot apply to truth. The truth has no opposite. Now I have no place to stand.

I'm getting out my umbrella, but so far the sky hasn't fallen.

By the way, the bird story is pretty, but not biblical. That does not detract from the power of your beautiful question.

This sounds more like someones fairy tale.
Jesus was perfect, he was born without sin and had the right to live forever as a perfect person here on the earth.
He gave up that right to prove that a perfect man could keep his integrity to Jehovah under trial.
As a result, we have the hope of everlasting life because of it.

Your story comes from the apocryphal books which some claim to be part of the Bible, but most scholars do not accept as being part of the genuine 66 books of the bible. Because He was God, He was perfect. Because He was man, his purpose on earth was to be a perfect sacrifice, acceptable to God as sufficient to forgive all of us our sins.YES, Jesus was perfect. Had He not been, He could not have paid the penalty for our sins, and we would be without hope even now.Aren't you glad He WAS perfect?

that story's not told in the Bible...and no, he never sinned, even as a child. The only story of him as a child was when he was 12, in the temple. We're told of his birth, then a story when he was 12, and in the dark until he was about 30. Though we have no specific stories, we know he did not sin.

I believe he was perfect. I think the story with the bird is part of the Catholic Apocrypha. There are some stories of his childhood in the four gospels.

he is indeed perfect, as a muslim, prophet mohammed was not perfect himself, he said that every newborn, is bron with a devil, except jesus the son of mary. he tried to come into him, but was stoped be4 entering the placenta. our prophet was blesses by converting the devil with him to islam and hence could not make him sin.
but yes jesus the son of mary was perfect, peace be upon him.
i heard that story about the bird, i think but im not sure, god told him to kill the few birds, put each one on a mountain and then god showed him how he can bring it back to life. it wasnt a sin, it was gods order. but im not sure if i mistaken it with another story (moses, or abraham). sorry.

There aren't many stories of him as a child. I can only think of the one where he was in the temple teaching and his parents left beacuse they thought he was with them, and how they went back right away to get him. Other than that, I don't know of any other stories. So, i would have to say i don't know, but i would like to believe he was sinless then too. <><
