Well, the two of them going off to be alone is a bad sign. You probably could have been a bit more diplomatic when you went downstairs the first time. Because you made a scene right away, she may have gotten mad and stayed the first time just to tick you off.
But really the question is, why did they have to go to his room? They could have talked about university anywhere. Call her on it and find out what they were really talking about. It might not be bad, but you should try to find out.

your point should have been made in private as now you have shown yourself to be jealous and insecure in your relationship and if this guy is after your girl he now has spotted the chink in your armour. she has the right to have friends as do you and the way you acted was rather neanderthal,,,you cannot go around telling her what to do and then expect her to run after you thus embarrassing herself and him and leading him to then believe you are a no good domineering boyfriend who she could well do without. discuss this with her and come to an agreement on what you and she consider inappropriate behavior. do not assume because you stomp your feet that she will always listen,,sometimes behavior like this is the very reason a partner leaves you in the first place,,you are dating her not owning her.be very careful with those you claim to care about.you would have been better served going in to the room with a smile on your face, sitting down and asking how its going,,its not like they would have told you to clear off is it,you have a right to be there,,you were at the same place anyway and your girlfriend shouldnt have minded,,you ARE her boyfriend after all.

I don't think that she should have been paying more attention to that guy then you, but you also didn't need to act the way you did. Talk to her and say that you're sorry but you just didn't feel comfortable with that guy being around her, but that didn't give you a right to over react. And then she'll probably say sorry to you too, but if not then don't worry about it and let this whole thing go.

Absolutely! But if the question continues to "Will it help" - NO!
It is difficult to be pragmatic. If they have been together for 2 yrs - he should have faith on the girl. Embarrassing her in front of a new guy won't help there relation. ‘New Fad’ will always have a transient higher value; lowering his stock by such outbursts won’t help.
Like some one said – ‘let her go – if she comes back she will always be there with you; if she doesn’t, it wasn’t meant too’

Just come out and ask her. If you value her as a person and know her to be honest, then accept her answer as the truth.
Does she have a history of lying and deceiving? Go with your gut.

sounds like you need to have a very serious discussion with your girlfriend. Ask your girlfriend if she has feelings for this guy--if she is interested in someone else--then you need to deal with it and move on!

I would think that she's acting like a normal teenage girl; it's called socializing. You should stop trying to control her and let he be herself if you truly care about "her" so much.

Yes, at least disappointed. Sorry, but it's not looking so good. They have an attraction. I'd give her some space and see her reaction.
