Actually, anyone who mocks any religion (whatever it may be) is wrong. I'm not Jew, yet you don't see me go and mock about their beliefs. The same goes for all the other religions. Yet you have to admit that there are people who do so, I've seen people make fun of Islam's teachings just as I've seen people who do that with Christians. Does it bothers me? yes it does. It does bothers me to see people sink down and instead of just asking for reasons or explanations go and mock.
However like others pointed out, Disagreement is something totally different. Every person who follows a specific faith has certain ideas and teachings so when he/she sees something thats done in another religion that crosses what he/she believes then its perfectly natural to disagree. The right thing to do, is to sit with the other person and hear what they have to say about that particular action instead of going over and cracking a joke on it without fully understanding the situation! So in conclusion, no it is totally in correct and very wrong to mock the teachings of any religion...

Actually, people dont respect other religions. The Christians think that people that are Muslim and hindu are bad people but they dont have any proof at all because all Muslims and Hindus are not bad. In every religion there are bad people and good ones. But the christians dont really realize that which is sad because they should never judge a book by its cover. Its wrong to mock others because people should respect each others religion.

I think it's wrong to mock any religion. It is simply not the doctrine of Christ to mock other peoples beliefs. I respect the tenets of other faiths, while simultaneously disagreeing with the truth of some of them. You can agree to disagree without being disagreeable. If I were to go into a Moslem mosc I would take off my shoes and show respect for that place of worship. If I went into a Buddhist sanctuary I would be reverent and do all things that they require of their adherents. I have no problems befriending a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian, or an Atheist who are respectful, courteous and kind towards me and my personal beliefs. My best friend is very against my Church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) but we maintain our friendship on a basis of tolerance and love for each other that surpasses sectarian squabbles.

MOCK WHATEVER YOU WANT TO!!! Just don't discriminate against any one group...This is still a Free Country, Free World...I don't really care one way or another about what society deems right and wrong, i.e. Politically Correct, because I am of that special breed of human who thinks for him self! I have noticed, have you?, that things that are Political, are seldom Correct! I think God has a very well developed sense of humor, and if you wanna mock religion in any and all forms, MORE POWER TO YOU BROTHER!!! I think religious people are WAYYY too sensitive anyways. I have a daily dialog with God so its not about being irreverent, its just about not taking things to seriously...

I think there is a degree of mocking that occurs, but you should not automatically presume it is coming from Christians.

There are many non-religious people here..and mocking is typical of them....

It is wrong to mock in general...because it is not fair....it is best to ask intelligent questions and get good answers. I think some of your questions are good ones.

There are many issues with Islam due to the terrorism that is occuring....so keep that in mind too.

Well, I'm a Muslim, who witnesses her religion being mocked at all the time, but I would still never mock other religions, because that is forbidden in Islam. As simple as that. Don't do unto others what you wouldn't want to be done to yourself?!

You (specifically you) mock everyone and everything. We (generally all of us) aren't mocking anyone. Your generalization of all of us is incorrect. Some people (Specific individuals) mock others (individual and groups), but no general group is, as a group, mocking anyone or any group.
So grow up, and leave the adults to their conversations. Children should be seen and not heard.

David, remember that when you mock Christianity in this forum, there's a bigger bunch to gang up on you than when you mock any of the other religions. So you have to be a bit more subtle.

We don't mock Islam...matter of fact the more time I spend on here talking with Muslims the more I admire them...mocking and not agreeing with them is not the same thing.

You are putting everyone in the same basket dude....You could say the same things about fanatic Islamic extremist, why are they killing their own people in Iraq and they don't like Hindu's either and why are they preaching hate and death in the name of Islam. I always thought that Islamic people believed in talking and in depth discussions about resolving many issues instead of declaring war and death to America. I have the sense to know that not all believers in Islam are terrorist and out to wipe man off the earth and I also have the sense to know that Islamic people are also good people as well as Hindus. I have been exposed to those people who are good, loving, decent people and it's sad we want to judge them because of the hate fullness of others.
