I just acquired tinnitus earlier this year. I believe it is the result of a month long ear blockage I had in January. The ringing is in the center of my head and it is maddening when it is quiet. Sometimes my head feels full, like inner ear fluid or something. My question is, if I find out what is causing the full feeling, and it is something that may be able to be drained or fixed somehow, is there a good chance the tinnitus will go away? I just keep fearing that the tinnitus is here to stay no matter what!

The treatment depends on the cause. You really need to see an ear, nose and throat specialist to find out if your tinnitus is treatable. Please be aware that sometimes, it cannot be treated. If that happens, there are measures for helping to cope with the ringing. Since you have a "full feeling" it is possible that yours might be treatable. You might have impacted ear wax or a vascular condition. Please see a doctor and get a definitive evaluation of your situation. Good luck!
