Why do you want to burn 500 calories at one time on a treadmill. That is really hard on your heart. The target that you should try to go for on a treadmill is 30 min a day for 230-290 calories and then add some calistetics such as pushups, situps, jumping jacks etc. for twenty minutes along with stretching.

IF your in a sport this is a little different but not much. You should do calistetics twice a day, with treadmill work described above, along with practice/team workout so that part of it is monitored incase something does go wrong you have coaches or team mates who are trained in first aid cpr certification. 500 calories a day is so hard on the body to lose anyway esp. if some of it isn't replenished with some healthy food options that are high lean protein to repair your muscles. I think that your trying to get healthy fast, but that doesn't happen right away. It'll take you a few weeks to start losing weight anyway, because your body will be adjusting to the exercises and you shouldn't rush that because it can make you really ill.

Be careful with your workouts and get plenty of rest and healthy food. Good Luck and I hope this helps you even if you chose to ignore it.

it takes roughly a mile to burn a 100 calories rather you walk it or run so to burn 500 calories you need to walk or run 5 miles.

If you jog or walk at 3.8-4.0 speed for an hour, that should suffice!
